Agnew Contract Services Ltd (formerly Resource & Hire Ltd) is a privately owned company operating out of a depot based in Hunterville just off SH1 (Central Rangitikei) involved with:

• Quarrying - (Central Aggregates Ltd)
• Sourcing of Raw Materials
• Manufacturing of Roading materials to Transit Specs
• Transport of Machinery, Ferterliser and Aggregates
• Plant Hire - Diggers, Loaders,Grader, Off Road Dumpers and Bulldozers 
• Portable Screening and Crushing of Metal

The company was formed in 1999 and has since been involved with numerous contracts within the Rangitikei and Manawatu Districts as a sub contractor and or main contractor.

Richard Mexted is the Managing Director and founder of the company. Richard also has interests in the Quarrying Industry located in the Central North Island. This resource is manufactured into - Roading Metals, Drainage, Concrete Aggregates, Sand and Rail Ballast.

The company looks for opportunities in the roading infrastructure, waste/recycling and natural resource industries and is often being used to project manage contracts as a one off for companies.

Central Aggregates Ltd owns two quarries strategicaly placed just off SH1 7 kilometres North of Hunterville. Alluvial Greywhacke is extracted from The Rangitikei River and processed into a variety of complying prtoducts. 

Agnew Contract Services Ltd owns the rights to extract large rock from properties located at Taihape in the central North Island. These sites are ideally located for the supply of this resource to Wellington, Wairarapa, Taranaki, Hawkes Bay, Rangitikei, Manawatu and North.

Mills Albert Ltd have been engaged to extract and deliver the rock (see Environmental Protection). Dave Mills has had many years experience in winning and placing the material throughout the lower North Island.

The rock located on these sites varies in shape and size, making it ideal for environmental protection work and and as features for landscaping.
